HISTORY OF THE COOKIE DIET

Dr. Sanford Siegal began practicing medicine in Miami in 1957 and has been limiting his South Florida medical practice to the treatment of overweight patients since 1960. While he was writing a book on what natural foods suppress hunger, he decided to formulate a food that would do just that, and in 1975, Dr. Siegal’s COOKIE DIET was born.

He has now been using this diet for over 40 years in his medical practice and has treated over 500, 000 patients successfully. Initially it was only available from Dr. Siegal’s own medical practice, followed by 13 more, and then in 2007, began his venture into the world of the internet to help 150,000 more people begin their weightloss journey.
